Compression Molding

compression molding

Compress molding also refers to hot-press molding. Normally the manufacturers stir the raw material into rubber compound through mixing mill, then vulcanized rubber compound inside the mold at certain pressure. There are many factors will effect the material property like additive, fillers, temperature, time, etc. As a specialist in rubber field for more than 40 years, we have our own technology for secondary process to improve material property, extend working life.

Compression Molding vs Injection Molding

Compression and injection molding are the two most common process for custom rubber and plastic parts production. Both technique often use for different types of production based on their different process. Injection molding is injecting raw material into cavity mold, therefore its more suitable for complex structure products. Compression molding is a good choice to for relatively simple design.

Injection molding has short turnaround time, high production efficiency, regard as a good way for large quantity orders. Compression molding is low-pressure production method, so the tooling costs are often lower.

In short, compress molding is a good option for simply design, small to medium scale order, while injection molding suitable for large scale orders.
